Curriculum and Learning Model

What curriculum do you follow, and how does it align with national standards? We offer the South African CAPS (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement) curriculum, which includes core subjects as well as elective options. How is the online learning experience structured? Our learning model features 100% live online classes taught by SACE-registered educators. Each session is recorded, allowing students to access classes easily while working through exercises or studying at their own pace.

Teacher Qualifications

What qualifications do your teachers have? Our teachers are qualified professionals, SACE-registered, and subject matter experts. How accessible are teachers for additional help or support? Teachers are readily available for additional help and support. Every teacher has a direct email address and WhatsApp for ease of communication and offers additional tutoring, bootcamps, and workshops for their subjects.

Flexibility and Scheduling

How flexible is the school schedule? Can my child work at their own pace? We offer a structured schedule but can be flexible with advance notice. Additionally, we have self-paced modules for families who need more flexibility. Are there specific hours when students are expected to be online? Students follow a set timetable from 8 am to 3 pm, with regular breaks in between.

Assessment and Progress Monitoring

How are students assessed throughout the year? Students are assessed through a combination of online quizzes, assignments, and formal examinations. Will my child receive regular progress reports? Yes, we provide regular progress reports to keep you informed about your child’s performance and areas for improvement.

What support services are available for students, such as counseling or tutoring? We offer various support services, including academic tutoring, intervention programs, and access to a school counselor. How do you accommodate different learning styles and needs? We have a Remedial School option where teachers offer one-on-one sessions. Additionally, students have access to a qualified team of educational psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and more.

How do you facilitate social interaction among students? We prioritize social interaction through live classes, group projects, online discussions, and various extracurricular activities.

Technical Requirements

What technology and internet access are needed for my child to participate effectively? Students will need a reliable internet connection and a computer with a built-in camera or a webcam add-on. How do you handle technical issues during lessons? We provide guidelines on the necessary software and tools, and our tech support team is readily available to assist with any technical issues.

Extracurricular Activities

What extracurricular activities are available? We offer a variety of online clubs, sports activities, and creative arts programs, encouraging students to pursue their passions outside the classroom.
