At Swales Online Academy, we’re all about turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. This Halloween, we went all out to create a virtual experience that sent shivers down the spine. As the ominous shadows of Halloween approached, a wave of excitement swept through our virtual halls. Learners and staff alike felt the supernatural pull of the occasion. Some shared their terrifying costumes, showcasing their dedication to making this Halloween unforgettable.

The party was a sinister spectacle, featuring a variety of ghostly activities and games. A costume contest revealed the most terrifying attire, trivia quizzes tested our knowledge of the supernatural, and a dance-off to “Monster Mash” got our virtual bones rattling. Laughter mixed with eerie cackles and fiendish grins.

While Halloween was the theme, we also wanted to explore the darker side of culinary delights. Some of our learners shared their favorite recipes for spooky treats and bloodcurdling beverages. One student, Simone Smith, exclaimed, “I enjoyed it a lot because I got to dress up with my friends in class and I got to see them also enjoy it. I generally think us Grade 8’s loved the lesson very much because we heard more of everyone’s interest and likes of certain outfits and stories. nother student, Jean-Marie Joubert, shared, “I loved the idea of dressing up as a horror character and doing it with my friends. I also enjoyed experimenting with face paint and make-up to show off our art skills.”
